What's new at The Peritrochoid?

Sunday, 11 November 2001, 2100 PST

Added a new article detailing the replacement of an aging first gen power steering pump with one from a second gen.

Tuesday, 11 September 2001, 0100 PDT

Updated the links page.

Friday, 7 September 2001, 1300 PDT

Updated the Contact page. No need to mention AOL since it's no longer a factor here at The Peritrochoid!

Friday, 7 September 2001, 0130 PDT

Finally got around to updating my Rotary Links page! Lots of link rot to take care of; added a few new links.

Saturday, 19 May 2001, 1700 PDT

Found a long-lost David Lane article from a few years back that I had somehow misplaced in my jungle of local files. It's David's piece on Kim and Dave's Rotary Shop.

Wednesday, 07 February 2001, 2300 PST

Alright! Two updates in less than twelve months! I think this may be a record of some sort. What's even more amazing is that both updates were for new David Lane articles. Two new ones: a piece on David's visit to SR Motorsports, and a short essay by David on how he ended up an Rx-7 fan.

Has it really been that long since I made any changes to this site? Something tells me it hasn't been, but I can't be sure anymore. :-P At any rate, I've recently added yet another article by David Lane, and updated the MIT Club Track Events pages. Enjoy!

Yet another article by the unstoppable David Lane, this time outlining common starting-system failures.

Friday, 9 Apr 1999, 1930 PDT

Added a page with info on the next MIT Club track event.

Thursday, 25 Feb 1999, 2230 PST

Fixed a few links on the MIT Club Track Events page.

Sunday, 28 Feb 1999, 2230 PST

One new article has been added, the latest by David Lane.

More menu bar tweakage! Will this madness never cease? I think I'm done, finally! There's finally something to be seen over at The Hypotrochoid, though it's mission has been redefined once again. I've also added many, many new articles to The Epitrochoid, so many that I can't even remember them all. Go look for yourself!

Friday, 25 September 1998, 1800 PDT

Still fiddling around with the link colors and menubar. I think I've finally found a winner! I ended up creating a small box for the menu items, with the same background color as the bodytext region. This seemed the only way to settle on link colors that were readable both in the bodytext and menubar regions.

Friday, 17 July 1998, 2200 PDT

Added a background image. This one's a custom job, similar to the one I created for the SoCal Rx-7 Owners Club site at http://home1.gte.net/pmullen/socal7s/default.html.

I'm still fooling around with link colors on this site, and I'm quite sure I'm not finished yet. It's tough finding colors that look good on both dark and light backgrounds. Being a web designer is never having to say you're done. :-)

Monday, 6 April 1998, 2300 PDT

Recent changes to The Peritrochoid include:
  1. a few broken links have been fixed; missing pages have been added; plus other slight changes
  2. a slight modification to the way the menu bar operates
  3. added a new link to the Rotary Links page ("My T13B")
  4. added one new tech page (Solving GSL-SE Idle Problems)
  5. made a few updates to the Bolt Circle Compendium & Wheel Interchange Manual

Friday, 27 March 1998, 1800 PST

Recent additions to The Peritrochoid include:
  1. the answer to What is a Peritrochoid?
  2. site usage is now being tracked by ShowStat
  3. The Rotary Rocket section is now largely complete
  4. a Contact RotaryRckt page has been added

"So what's new and exciting," you say? Everything! The biggest difference is the entirely new design of The Peritrochoid. It's been remodeled to be much more professional in it's design. It's now 'low fat' (loads up fast on any type of connection), and is much easier to navigate around. Plus, lots of new content is being added every day (OK, almost everday). Those of you who have visited The Peritrochoid in the past will notice that there has been quite a bit added to The Epitrochoid in the form of new tech articles and general interest pieces.

Of course, you will have to excuse the mess during the course of the improvements. You're likely to run into some broken links and other oddities (undefined macros and glossary entries, etc... the bane of amateur Frontier users everywhere!). I realize the site is still a little rough around the edges, but I'm working furiously at polishing things up. Just be patient. It'll be worth the wait, I assure you!

Be sure to stop back frequently, as I'm now on a roll. The hard part is done (designing the basic framework of the site), and all that's left is to finish converting the old Peritrochoid material and continue adding new stuff (that makes it sound so easy). Make a date to be back here in a week (roughly the beginning of April). I promise you'll see lots of improvement!

Thanks for visiting!
