Replacing U-Joints

According to the Mazda dealer, the later first generations have non-replaceable U-joints. These can be replaced if you find the right shop. On my '82, I had both U-joints replaced and the drive shaft rebalanced for $75, instead of $350 for a new driveshaft assembly from Mazda. The shop was Drive Line Services in San Jose, CA. They said they have done many of these, and even had one already finished so I could just swap shafts with him, instead of having to drop it off and go back later to pick it up.
[Rotary Rocket is willing to bet most people have some type of shop in their local area that would be capable of performing this service.]
