Oil Cooler Line Options
   by Phil Sweet
   SweetP@nabisco.com

...one of the oil cooler lines blew from old age and rot. I found what appears to be a less expensive replacement than the factory or MAZDATRIX part by going to a local place that makes hydraulic lines. They ordered the fittings and made both lines to my specs for $80. These lines are rated for 3000 psi, so I don't worry about them blowing out any time soon. The only fly in the ointment is that the I.D. on the lines is 3/8", which may be a tad smaller than the original.

The place that made the lines for me is:

Total Hydraulics Ind.
P.O.Box 850
Plain St.
Boonton NJ 07005
973 334 3744

If anyone gets lines made here, talk to a guy named Phil and tell him it's for an RX-7 oil cooler. He'll remember. Be sure to specify the length needed. I had mine made a little long, just in case, and now I wish they were a bit shorter.
